It was made to be used for the RPGMaker, as long as you own a valid, legal license of RPG Maker, you can use it's corresponding RTP on it or any other valid Maker's that you have (Like if you own VX Ace and VX, you can use both the VX and VX Ace RTP on either of those two makers). but for playing the game, it's all fineģ) Usage of the RTP for RPGMaker isn't stealing others work, it has it's own EULA which you can read. Note: Take note though that from what I've read, if you wanna open your project in the maker, you still need to have the RTP installed even if you do the no-RTP trick. You just need to do the no-RTP trick (remove the RTP line from the game.ini file so that your game won't be looking for it when you play it)

else, you can download it from the siteĢ) If you're gonna use totally custom resources, you don't need the RTP.

I believe it's auto-installed when you install VX Ace. Thanks so much for any help, and im sorry for my ignorance, but it i seems im quite confused!!ġ) RTP is the resource package that comes with the Maker. (i also read that copyright lawyers say using the RTP is actually stealing artwork?!?!? please explain this as well!)Ĥ) anything else i should know about the RTP? any issues you that have bought the full RPGM VX ACE think i should be aware of? This significantly reduces the file size of the game."ġ) Is the RTP a separate DL when you buy RPGMAKERVXACE or is it a mandatory part of the install?Ģ)So if I want to use custom art for my game, do i even need the RTP?ģ) i read here on the forum that the RTP is considered bad for creators? why? Ive read several places where people refer to games using the RTP as "looking bad" Once a game is made with RTP data, you do not need to include material data like music or graphic files. Here is what it says:"RTP is a system for reducing the total size of a game file made with RPG Maker. Ive researched most of the aspects about RPGM, but Ive tried to read about the RTP here at the forum, but im still a little hazy as to just what it is and what it means: I am seriously considering purchasing RPGMAKER VX ACE, but i just have this one question, maybe someone can help me?
